I am not optimistic about Schumacher’s condition but I am genuinely curious as to his status. I loved watching him race F1.

I really hope that, at worst, he is an aware, at least partially mobile, comfortable and can communicate.

Oddly, I’m quite comfortable not knowing anything other than he’s doing fine. No details. No photos, social media.
And I think I feel this way because my gut tells me that he’s become comfortable not being in the spotlight and just lives his life as close to a normal Joe’s life as someone of his stature can.
...I can dream, right?

I always assumed that he’s like other people I’ve seen with severe brain injuries: alive and responsive but not really “them”. I don’t have anything to base that on, of course.

I want to know but REALLY don’t want to. That makes sense right?

There is a lot of speculation in that. I would be shocked if they open up now. There is no reason to and with Mick making a run at F1 there is a legacy to protect.

Yep I feel the same way.

If you can believe little bits from people that did visit him, he can respond and it’s mainly physical. I keep picturing him with one of those mouth mice to communicate. I’m ok not knowing but I am curious.

Same. I'm curious about him, but...
